Theonille Mukamana

PhD Student

Mukamana received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from National University of Rwanda, I worked on drought time series forecasting in Rwanda. After completing my undergraduate, I undertook a Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS). While studying at AIMS, I worked on handling missing data in the analysis of environmental data. I also obtained a Master of Science in Mathematical Modeling and Scientific Computing from the National School of Engineering of Tunis where I worked on Application of Stochastic Control in Finance. Currently, I am PhD student in Data Science at AIMS(Rwanda) working on Deep Learning BSDE with Applications in Quantitative Finance.

Outreach activities:
Ambassador for Committee for Women in Mathematics (CWM) in Rwanda, in charge of disseminating information and keep in CMW informed about activities in their environment.

She loves travelling, reading, playing the piano, and swimming
