Brenda Anague

PhD Student

Brenda, from Cameroon, is currently a Ph.D. student at Quantum Leap Africa at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in Rwanda. Her research focuses on Physics-Informed Machine Learning with Application in Climate Science. Brenda was a student at the University of Dschang (Cameroon) for five years (2016-2021), where she obtained a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2019 and a Master’s in Applied Mathematics in 2021, in which she successfully defended a master’s thesis on “Valuation and Hedging Option in Discrete Markets” in the field of financial mathematics. She also has a master’s in Mathematical Science from AIMS Cameroon in 2022, and defended her thesis on “The Study of Over-parameterization for Physics-Informed Neural Networks”.

Brenda is curious about science and passionate about Mathematics. Her research interests are theoretical Machine Learning, Physics-Informed Machine Learning (PILM), Linear and Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations (PDEs), Gaussian Processes, Deep Learning, Bayesian Inference, and Air Pollution.
