Ezra Waxman

Visiting Researcher

Ezra is a Zuckerman Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Haifa in Haifa, Israel. His research is in analytic number theory and function fields. During his Ph.D. he researched the angular distribution of Gaussian primes, bringing modern perspectives to this investigation by relating it to Random Matrix Theory and function field arithmetic. Currently, he is investigating the statistical distribution of lattice points, both classically and over function fields. His work involves a diverse array of mathematical tools and relationships: number fields vs. function fields, L-functions and random matrices, and random-point distributions and Galois group computations. His other research interests include Artin’s Primitive Root Conjecture as well as Thue Equations over Function Fields.
