Prince Osei, Director and Lead Scientist at Quantum Leap Africa, has recently been nominated to the Global Future Council on the Future of Quantum Economy for the 2023-2024 term, in recognition of his contributions to Quantum and his leadership in advancing the Quantum revolution in Africa.

Established by the World Economic Forum, the Global Future Council on the Future of Quantum Economy is a brain trust for leaders from government, business, and civil society, and supports the Forum’s mission by bringing together experts in the field of Quantum to discuss the most critical issues, generate insights and analysis, and collaborate in shaping the Quantum agenda.

Before founding Quantum Leap Africa, Prince was a Fields-Perimeter and Perimeter Institute Postdoctoral Research Fellow, the Academic Manager at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Ghana, and Co-Founder of Analytics IQ. In 2012, he became the first person to be awarded a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics by the University of Ghana after 65 years of its existence.

Prince is currently the Center President at AIMS Ghana. He is also a well-accomplished leader in business development and innovation, with a keen eye on scientific capacity in Africa. He has helped to build organizations from the ground up, especially those developing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in the African space. He has designed and implemented programs through which 600+ intelligent African youths have been exposed to current and future technology at an advanced level. His approach is an excellent model for preparing young Africans for the fourth industrial revolution and future quantum technology.

As a lecturer and researcher, Prince has taught over 20 courses across all levels in the university and published papers in prestigious academic journals in different fields of Quantum, like, Quantum Algebra, Quantum Geometry, Quantum Groups, Quantum Information, Quantum Gravity, and Quantum Machine Learning.

“It is a privilege to be a member of the council and to work with people with different expertise in the field of Quantum”, said Prince. “There are many high-profile people on the council. I am looking forward to our first physical meeting in Dubai”.
